Exploring Accessible Wonders: A Day at Point Turton, Marion Bay, and Innes National Park with YP Coordination

Recently, YP Coordination embarked on an exciting adventure alongside Brendan and his dedicated support worker Liz, exploring the accessible tourism gems nestled within the picturesque Yorke Peninsula. Our journey unfolded with enthusiasm, taking us through Point Turton, Marion Bay, and Innes National Park, promising a day filled with discovery and inclusivity.

Our first stop led us to Point Turtoncp, where Brendan showcased the oceanview wheelchair-accessible cabin—a spacious haven both inside and out. A perfect introduction to the day's accessibility wonders.

Next, we ventured to Marion Bay jetty, engaging with locals who recommended the delightful marionbaytavernandmotel for lunch. True to their word, the venue proved exceptionally wheelchair accessible, offering a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Undeterred by challenges, our third stop at innesnationalpark's Stenhouse Bay lookout and jetty provided breathtaking views. Navigating the path's curve was tricky but manageable with Liz and Ali's assistance, making the effort well worth it as we reveled in the serene ocean sounds and marveled at the surrounding cliffs and port remnants.

Cape Spencer became the crown jewel of our adventure, standing out for its thoughtful design that prioritizes inclusion for all. A testament to Yorke Peninsula's commitment to accessible tourism.

Special thanks to Brendan and Liz comforting support for sharing this memorable day of exploration. We eagerly anticipate our next adventure, as YP Coordination continues to uncover and showcase the beauty of accessible tourism destinations on the Yorke Peninsula.
